Rounded clusters of rich, super-sparkly, deep blue Azurite cover much of the display face along with accents of bright green Malachite on this colorful piece from the Tongshen Mine in China. The scintillating curving growths of midnight blue Azurite, to 1.5 cm across, nicely accent a smooth, velvety-blue rolling surface of royal blue Azurite that adorns a bright green, blue and dark brown, mottled matrix of Malachite, Azurite and limonite. The Malachite is variegated through the basal portion of the piece from brilliant emerald green just under the Azurite surface to both dark and medium green throughout the matrix. This gorgeous small cabinet Azurite is very Bisbee-like in appearance and nearly pristine, with only slight rubs locally on the surface that aren't obvious. Note - this is from the old big find of this material from the early 2000s, still distinct to this day for the overall appearance (an impostor to Bisbee material that frankly scared us all, back then!). This has been with a friend and customer ever since and was one of the better examples for aesthetics in this size range. Its presence is enhanced by a custom engraved acrylic base.
