This is a very sculptural Descloizite specimen dominated by divergent sprays of relatively large, almost arborescent Descloizite crystals from the classic Berg Aukas Mine in Namibia, the best locality in the world for the species! The piece consists of numerous, elongated, bronze-red, shiny, almost lamellar, fan-like aggregates of Descloizite to over 3 cm in size. These sharp, super lustrous, spearpoint-shaped crystals, along with all of their smaller component crystals are well terminated and have no damage, and are of exceptional quality. There must be half a dozen elongate crystals on this piece that essentially diverge from one area at the base where it was attached to matrix. Most Descloizite pieces we see are dark colored maybe with a hint of red, but this one is richly colored and its form is both exquisite and artistic! Ex.
