This is a captivating, almost neon teal-green Fluorite specimen from the Yaogangxian Mine, a mine that produces Fluorite in a wide variety of colors, yet this saturated color is something new and different for the mine. This piece consists of one large and a few smaller, transparent to translucent, super vibrant, sea-green Fluorite cubes that display distinct zoning. The larger, crystal measures 3.5 cm on its longest edge and the cluster on the outside edge edge is composed of a duo of slightly smaller crystals and there are a couple of other small crystals isolated on the piece as well. All of the crystals have completely transparent, water-clear rims with numerous, ghostly white zones and phantoms evident in their interior. The interior of the large crystal is mesmerizing with its transparency, multiple zones and phantoms as well as an asymmetrically placed light purple, perfect cube-shaped phantom off to one corner! This crystal is completely transparent to the point that the Calcite in the back of the crystal can be easily discerned; it's completely water-clear! The other Fluorites in a cluster off to the side are similarly colored and almost as complex. The Fluorite crystals are embellished with a combination of starkly contrasting, white Calcite and delicate pink Dolomite. The Calcite consists of 2 mm to 1.8 cm, platy crystals in tight groups and criss-crossing crystals that selectively cover portions of the Fluorite crystals and a large area of the matrix on one end. The Dolomite crystals, to 1 cm, are in clusters of crystals to 1 cm displaying slightly curved faces and span the area between the Fluorites and there are also some bright, metallic, Pyrite crystals adjacent to the big Fluorite. For added interest, there are several large blades of incomplete, black-brown Ferberite on the backside. A beautiful combination piece with great contrast and composition. It was from a special pocket mined at Yaogangxian in 2018 or early 2019.
