This colorful and handsome specimen features both purple and blue Fluorapatite crystals on the same specimen, although the blue is the more expected and famous from the Golconda Mine. They are interlaced with silvery Muscovite crystals, as if the gemmy apatites are sprinkled in and amongst them. The Fluorapatites are fabulous, lustrous, bright hexagonal tabular crystals that are gemmy with perfect luster and in two vibrant colors! On one side of the piece the Fluorapatites are a vibrant, glassy purple and on the other a rich blue with crystals of both colors ranging in size from 3 to 5 mm. Their placement on the silvery Muscovite crystals adds much to the overall aesthetics of this attractive specimen. Ex. Chet Lemanski collection - an old specimen (perhaps from the 1950s-1960s heyday here).
