Here we have an interestingly shaped, rich cranberry-red Ruby crystal from Burma. Two-thirds of the crystal is a robust hexagonal shape and then it "transforms" into a top that is totally different: an abruptly tapering extension that is also terminated by a small pinacoid face. The crystal is mostly translucent with gemmy areas displaying intense cranberry red color and exceptionally high luster. It has a mass of 17.4 grams. Simply unusual and "bendy" in a way that attracts the eye.
