This is an attractive pair of translucent to transparent medium blue Kyanite crystals in a nicely contrasting, off-white Quartz-Muscovite matrix. The tabular, prismatic duo extends out of the Quartz resulting in a nicely composed piece. One crystal measures 6.7 cm in length and the other 5.2 cm. The Kyanites are well formed with the smaller one more gemmy than the other and neither are terminated. A third, smaller, 2.4 cm crystal extends from the base. Very nice for a metamorphic rock forming aluminosilicate mineral - it is actually aesthetic!
