Miniature, 4.4 x 3.5 x 2.8 cm

This Cobaltoan Calcite miniature is one of the most unique from Morocco that I have yet seen for sale from contemporary finds here. It is covered with sparkling, saturated, rose-pink, translucent crystals from 1 to 4 mm cm in length and they are tightly clustered to enhance that vibrant, almost neon-pink color, but not so tight that the spiky, individual crystals are obscured. The pink of this piece is the hue of the best Rose Quartz, maybe better. The luster is exceptional and scintillating! This Cobaltoan Calcite is essentially pristine and looks fabulous from the front and back with only contacting at the bottom and a small contact on one side that is barely discernible due to the intense color. In person, this is a very 3-dimensional specimen with great visual impact - the depth is difficult to convey in the photos because the crystals stick out every which way. A stunning miniature, very different from others.
