An elegant, elongated cluster often called a "snake" at the source, with accents of isolated balls of Cavansite all displaying the deepest royal blue color! They have grown on numerous, finely crystalline balls of Stilbite. The teal-blue color of the Cavansite is intense and they are translucent at the edges which makes them glow under any lighting conditions. The elongated cluster is composed of several intergrown balls to 1 cm in size that cascade down the center of the piece and trail off into isolated 4 to 6 mm Cavansite balls - incredibly aesthetic! Dozens of 3 to 10 mm spherical clusters composed of sparkling Stilbite crystals provide the backdrop and contrast for the exquisite Cavansite. In addition to being incredibly colorful, Cavansite is interesting chemically too as it is a hydrated calcium-vanadium silicate. A magnificent piece with great balance and composition, from older finds near to the city of Mumbai.
