This aesthetic Calcite cluster features lustrous, translucent, platy crystals in an a handsome interlocking arrangement. These super sharp, hexagonal plates of Calcite are uniquely two-toned and textured. The flat, platy faces are a translucent ivory-white and have a satin sheen originating from a plethora of tiny, parallel growth features that provide a pleasing texture that in some places appears linear. In contrast, the edges of the crystals are bright and completely transparent so you can see completely through the crystal! They measure 1.7 to 6.5 cm across and 0.7 to 1 cm in thickness. Very sharp and geometric! From finds of 2018, although they resemble an older style from 20 years ago, often wrongly attributed to Hunan Province.
