This striking combination specimen from the famed Yaogangxian Mine in China features pyrite, rare for this locality! This cluster of stacked Fluorite crystals measures 3.5 x 3.2 x 2.3cm and stands right up off of the cluster of milky Quartz points! The Fluorite crystals composing the cluster are pale to medium purple, zoned crystals up to 2 cm across. On the other side of the piece, three offset stacked Fluorite cubes are veiled in mystery by a heavy sprinkling of microcrystalline Pyrite. If you didn't look at the bottom you might assume they are just cubic Pyrite crystals and not coated Fluorites! These three Pyrite-coated Fluorite crystals are nestled in the milky Quartz points.
