Quartz var. Rose Quartz
Pitorra claim, Laranjeiras, Galillia, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Small Cabinet, 6.4 x 4.6 x 1.0 cm

Although large Rose Quartz crystals seem to be rare in nature, this actually has very large crystals of this varietal! From one of the modern Brazilian localities for Rose Quartz, this small cabinet piece consists of a parallel grouping of transparent to translucent, flattened, and elongated Rose Quartz crystals with good luster and terminations all across the top! The crystals are well-formed on the front side with more crudely developed crystal forms on the backside and complete all around. For added interest, those on the front exhibit horizontal stepped growth patterns perpendicular to the crystal length. Comes with a custom engraved acrylic base. This is a special piece, because of the extreme crystal size. From a small pocket perhaps 2015-ish.
