A superb specimen from any species, let alone something as generally rusty-looking and un-trophy-worthy as geothite tends to be. I was mesmerized when I saw this in an old collection in Germany, and I HAD to have it. It is so elegantly formed in both form and color, so elegant in its filigreed complexity, that it blew me away. It is a great rock, even if of a prosaic species! I have seen others from this locality (a famous hematite mine), but nothing like this. To me, its a sophisticated enough piece to grace any collection. I love it.
