The Goboboseb region of Namibia produces a wide range of Amethyst habits and is known for Quartz crystals with Amethyst and Smoky zoning; however, this little cutie is unusual in its formation with a rich purple Amethyst stem topped by an ornamental smoky purple cluster of small, doubly terminated Quartz crystals. The aggregate length of this piece is 6.9 cm. All of the Quartz here is glassy and transparent to translucent! A small but regal Quartz specimen that also happens to be terminated at both ends! Ex. Shields and Frances Flynn collection.
