The hexagonal Emerald crystal is 2.3 cm in length and is glassy, gemmy and perfectly terminated on one end. For added interest, the Emerald crystal is bent in two places probably by local tectonic forces during its growth and a few areas with in the crystal are gem quality! The two generations of Calcite represented by the separate white and pale gray crystals are all rhombohedral in form.
