A huge, imposing Calcite with sharp form and rich pink color! This is an exquisite cabinet piece composed of large, pastel pink manganocalcite rhombs from the Huanggang mine in China. The main crystal is a giant 15 cm across rhombohedron along with another large crystal measuring 11 cm in parallel growth and a third "smaller" 7 cm crystal as a sidecar companion. Hundreds of transparent parallel-oriented growth calcite discs selectively cover the top faces of the rhombohedrons resulting in a glittering dramatic effect for this admirable piece. The entire piece glows a vibrant reddish-orange in ultraviolet light! A majestic piece that sits perfectly on a custom engraved acrylic base.
