From a 2015 find at the Barra do Salinas mine, this bicolored elbaite crystal is dramatically sceptered with a gemmy, bright green terminal cap which grades down into a rose-pink, heavily striated columnar base. The green scepter is glassy, transparent to locally translucent and very colorful and bright! This mine is known for its sceptered elbaite crystals and this is a prime example in excellent condition save a couple of tiny contact points on the termination that are not readily noticeable. These sceptered tourmalines represent unique chemical conditions in the pegmatite pocket that produce stunning and artistic objects of nature. A custom engraved acrylic base is included. Originally this was one of the more expensive miniatures in a small lot we purchased down there, and was valued quite highly, but having sold the rest it is now available at a reduced price.
