Simply one of the best Hausmannite thumbnails I have seen from this famous mining area, with balance and aesthetics that are outstanding. A stunning thumbnail of one of the well-known metallic species from the N'Chwaning Mines, that simply produces volume but few specimens of such unique and aesthetic form. These pseudo-octahedral manganese oxide crystals are twinned, have excellent, sharp form, and a luster so good that the photos can only hint at it. I believe these came out in the 1980s. This is a competitive-level specimen, sharp all around, and even complete (contacted with minor recrystallization) on the bottom.
