A superb, gem crystal of cherry-red Rhodonite crystal sits perfectly on a matrix of splendent Galena. The tabular Rhodonite is in excellent condition, has great luster, color, and gemminess, and is exposed for about 1 cm. Rhodonites with such all-round beauty are the ultimate Holy Grail species for Broken Hill and are rare, with most coming out in the early 1900s. Very hard to get today, and I know sophisticated collectors that are still waiting for the one Rhodonite of commensurate aesthetics to properly match their collection. This has an intensity and special color saturation to it, that makes it stand out!
