Long and slender, this saturated and rich golden heliodor crystal is very lustrous and exhibits several gemmy areas between the crazing and feldspar inclusions. The top 7 mm of the crystal is colorless, a common occurrence with Padre Paraiso heliodors. The crystal's mass is 42 grams. This is typical of a style from a small pocket of about 2010, and also of some older crystals from the 1980s, though there is no telling which find this came from. In any case, they are truly GOLDEN BERYL (heliodor), rather tan "green beryls" often described by dealers and miners as Heliodor- but not! Seldom available today in this size and quality.
