Lustrous and translucent, with a pastel pink body and a nearly opaque blue cap (1mm), this elbaite crystal has a thin layer of albite and tiny albite crystals mixed with tiny elbaite gem pencils, on its non-display (back) side that bounce light back into the crystal and make it a darker pastel color than these normally are, for this particularly classic style for the location. The blue cap, though thin, is highly unusual. Pristine. The mass is 98 grams.
