Jouravskite on Xonotlite
N'Chwaning III Mine, Kuruman, Kalahari MN field, Northern Cape Province, South Africa
Miniature, 4.1 x 2.5 x 1.5 cm
SOLD
Totally covering one side of the matrix is a crystal druse of glassy and gemmy, bright lemon yellow jouravskite crystals, like yellow sugar. In the edges, are a few of the even more rare, larger crystals at the periphery, though mostly covered. This is simply one of the prettiest miniatures in the pocket, and a gorgeous piece in any case for sheer color and sparkle. By any previous standards, it is also a significant example of the species.
