This is another superb specimen of highly lustrous, royal-blue, lazulite, in crystals to 1.2 cm in length. It is surely one of the finer Canadian lazulite thumbnails, from the collection of Rod Tyson, who collected it. These large, relatively gemmy crystals are perched beautifully on a druse of brown siderite. When held, the viewer can discern pinpricks of gemmy sky blue to neon teal colors as it shifts in the light. A competitive level thumbnail, from the collection of the man who found more of them than, I would wager, any other collector in this region.
