Lazulite with Apatite
Mt. Seafoam, Rapid Creek, Yukon, Canada
Small Cabinet, 6.8 x 5.2 x 3.2 cm
Ex. Rod Tyson
A druse of very lustrous and translucent, gemmy blue lazulite crystals covers the whole display face. As the lazulite crystals grow larger their translucence diminishes to pinpricks of neon blue amidst deeper blue color. Gorgeous, unusual, large specimen of the species. The backside is liberally coated with apatite crystals that are bright and gemmy, and unusual for the locality.
