SOLD
A historic, old-time Acanthite specimen from Jachymov (Joachimstal), Erzgebirge, Czech Republic. This solid plate of seaweed-like growth grew on matrix, so one side is contacted and the presentation side shows the intergrown Acanthite crystals. The Acanthites are actually pretty well defined. There might even be small amounts of Argentite, though that is unclear. On balance, this is a classic, VERY RICH, old-time Silver ore from a historic locality. Formally in the collection of the Vienna Natural History Museum.
