Wagholi Quarry, near Poona, Maharashtra, India
Cabinet, 10.7 x 5.6 x 4.9 cm
Gorgeous string of at least ten Cavansite balls strung out for 8.8 cm along the matrix. These "caterpillar' groupings are one of the most desirable ways to find a Cavansite, but also one of the hardest to find. This is a superb specimen with great color contrast, aesthetics, and much more 3-dimensionality when seen in person. I think its cheap, because the pics simply do not reflect the quality of the piece and I lowered the price a bit, thus.
