Hessite specimens reach their worldwide zenith from the Botes area. This specimen exhibits small but well formed, sharp and elongated crystals to 8 mm across, that are lustrous and have a dark gray color. Ex Carlton Davis collection to Conklin, who kept it for many years. I then got and sold this to another collector myself, many years ago. Since they are incredibly rare and over 100 years old any hessite is a good hessite, worth having to a dealer like myself, and I took the chance to trade it back into my stock recently.
