Distinctive and quite impressive, this very large plate consisting of thousands of slender Calcite crystals is almost unmatched. Many of the Calcites easily reach 2 cm in length, they are well-formed and sharp, and grayish-tan in color. About half are individual and the remaining crystals are in attractive 'brush-like' clusters. In addition to the shear quality of the plate, the Calcites have a beautiful, almost haunting, blue-white fluorescence that adds greatly to the aesthetics and the interest. Mined in the 1960s. RCL0920
