Vesuvianite and Groutite
Small Cabinet, 8.0 x 5.6 x 2.6 cm
Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Quebec, Canada
On a matrix of massive vesuvianite, are hundreds of gemmy, lustrous, apple green crystals, including one large crystal 3.0 cm across that is dramatically doubly-terminated! This piece has excellent luster and classic apple-green color, making it highly desirable and rare for the size. The dark acicular crystals, to 2.0 mm long, are groutite.
