A superb combination specimen featuring sharp and lustrous galena from these classic mines which, surprisingly, simply did not produce a lot of great galenas (1/1000 of the number of fluorites which came, I would bet!). This one has superb crystals that are aesthetically perched on a thin crust of lustrous and translucent, light purple fluorite crystals, to 1.2 cm across. The sharp modified cubes, to 3 cm across, are very 3-dimensional. Superb! Ex. George Feist collection. Mined in April 1989 from the # 4 pod. RCL 1969.
