Fluorite (Fluorescent) and Celestine
Clay Center, Ottawa County, Ohio, USA
Cabinet, 9.7 x 8.5 x 5.0 cm
Ex. Dr. Art Soregaroli

This really choice, cabinet specimen is from finds in 2007-2008. This piece features about two dozen outstanding, gemmy, root beer Fluorites associated with fine blades of Celestine. The Fluorite has superb luster, and the gemminess is accented by definitive zoning within the crystal. The largest Fluorite is 2.9 cm on edge, and the Celestines average about 1.5-2 cm. The piece is complete all around, with only one ding on one corner of the second Fluorite. This is actually in remarkably good condition for the size and style. As a bonus, the Fluorite is HIGHLY fluorescent. Excellent aesthetics, featuring great balance not only between the Fluorites big and small, but also between the species. These are in high demand and hard to come by today as the big finds here are now gone and done with.
