This is a stunning, cherry-red crystal of GEM zircon, from one of the world's classic gem fields. The photos pretty much speak for themselves. The crystal is complete all around and has a typical waxy-like luster common to zircons. This was long in the collection of Gene Meieran, one of the world's largest collectors of gem crystals of all sorts.
