Rosettes of lustrous, rich blue azurite clusters to 3.5 cm across are aesthetically perched on a natural pedestal of lustrous, drusy malachite. The contrast here is striking, and the rich, aesthetic piece is highly unusual for this locality. The color contrast is spectacular but, again, it is the overall composition of this piece that makes it dramatically stand out amongst others from this locality we have seen over the years! This would be, probably, from the 1980s. Ex. Norm and Roz Pellman collection (Tucson) .
