Strontianite With Fluorite and Rosiclare Sandstone
Small Cabinet, 6.3 x 5.8 x 3.7 cm
Rosiclare Level, Minerva #1 Mine, Cave-in-Rock District, Hardin Co., Illinois, USA

Nice set of radial Strontianite clusters on a matrix of deep purple Fluorite. The tan-colored Strontianite grows as fine needles in dense clusters, the largest of which is about 3 cm across. You can clearly see the crystals against the Fluorite on the reverse side. Collected in 1990, this is a good, representative combination piece from Minerva. RCL1182
