Collected by Wendell Smith in 1988, this is a superb bowtie (rosette) of Baryte. The translucent, golden Baryte has excellent luster, and the frosted edges of the crystals highlight the form in stunning fashion. Looking closely, the frosted edges make the Baryte look like a mountain range. Great aesthetics all around the edges make this a unique piece from the historic district, where fine Barytes are much more hard to obtain than fine fluorites. RCL1658
