Emplaced high on a matrix of albite and muscovite is a tabular, lustrous and translucent, doubly terminated crystal of sky blue beryl 1.9 cm across. It is complete all around, elegant, and dramatic. One of our favorite thumbnail specimens in the lot. These were originally thought to be Rosterite or Vorobyevite, but further analysis by Dr. Federico Pezzotta confirmed they are alkali-rich beryls.
