Emplaced on a basaltic matrix is a very large, pristine fluorapophyllite crystal, measuring 6.3 cm across. It exhibits a pearlescent luster with good translucence and grades from a rich green to a faint green color. Flesh colored, lustrous stilbite crystals to 2. 2 cm in length adorn one side of the crystal. These crystals are, unusually, a more intense green color when viewed side-on (and those sides are extremely sharp and lustrous!) From the January 2014 pocket.
