Turquoise crystals are normally rare and tiny, but in specimens where turquoise has replaced another species, possibly azurite, they can be larger and absolutely beautiful, like this one presents to us. The turquoise crystals reach 1.5 cm across, have good luster and are colored a magnificent rich sky blue color. These odd replacement pseudomorphs come from several old mines in this mining district. This is a fine quality, competition level thumbnail or toenail sized specimen from the collection of Violet Dawson.
