Icabaru River placers, Santa Elena, Bolivar, Venezuela
A superb, unusually sharp hoppered crystal from this classic locale! A rich buttery golden color is evident in this exquisitely formed crystal of gold. It can easily be viewed from either side just as nicely. Hoppered growth in a crystal occcurs when the crystal edges grow much faster than the center, and it is classic in gold. However, most crystals do not reach this size and stay "sharp." The crystal weighs 6.3 grams.
