Miniature, 3.5 x 3.0 x 2.5 cm
Ex. Dr. John Mijer
SOLD
A juicy, wet-looking specimen with intense colors! At first glance it looks like green crystals are perched on arsenian orange crystals, but they are all the same crystals, with the color suddenly changing at the top of the piece within the same crystal, from orange to green. This piece is 3-dimensional and complete all around! It has the top luster you could wish for, in an Idaho pyromorphite. The wet, sparkling look is much better than the norm, as well. The color is characteristic of the late-1980s production here, at this mine that is now not only closed and defunct, but a toxic Superfund site as well. This is from the collection of Dr. John Mijer, a well known collector of Bunker Hill pyromorphite. It is a small but extremely choice specimen of the highest quality. Joe Budd photos.
