Large, glittering, crystalline plate of superb green Prehnite from Pakistan! This is from a small artisanal mine, apparently, and was one of the finest pieces Herb brought out. The Prehnite has excellent mint-green color and a scintillating luster that is more sparkly than on prehnite I have seen from other locales. The thick layer that covers the rock matrix is quite substantial, both in area and with a thickness up to 3.5 cm, and it covers both sides of the knobby matrix. It is adorned by sharp Quartz crystals up to 5 cm which make a great contrast (and, I think, this is an unusual association). This is one of the finest Pakistani Prehnites that I have seen, but I will also add Herb's opinion that it was the best large piece he brought out.
