This miniature chalcocite is complete all around and was considered one of the best in its size range by the man who owned the most of them. It is illustrated in the book F. John Barlow Mineral Collection in the chapter on this mine on page 377: "A superb miniature composed of a group of intergrown, sub-parallel plate-like crystals of lustrous brassy yellow to violet-colored chalcocite. The faces of the main 2.5-cm crystal have triangular faces... a classic miniature from the Lucky Friday Pocket." It later went in 1999 from the F. John Barlow collection to the Dr. Ed David collection. Joe Budd photos. Difficult to capture, this is actually much better in person.
