Exemplary "double replacement pseudomorph" of Rosasite after Malachite after Azurite. The original habit of the Azurites is well preserved, and the largest chisel-point crystal is 4 cm in size. My favorite part of the specimen is actually the contacted surfaces, where you can still see the sparkly crystalline Malachite cores, surrounded by a thick layer of the Rosasite replacement after Malachite showing as the top band of several layers. For both overall aesthetics and mineralogical interest, this pseudomorph specimen is outstanding. It is a rare thing, and found only in a few pockets at Tsumeb in the distant past.
