This elegant, halfmoon-shaped rhodochrosite specimen is composed of three large spheres, to 3 cm across, and two smaller ones. The rhodo spheres or botryoids are very lustrous and exhibit a light pink color. One side of the spheres is festooned with 5mm-long calcite crystals that fluoresce a light orange color. Collected prior to 1980, this is from an old Greek collection that was recently brought to market.
