A crystal of note, this example far exceeds any that I have encountered from this locality. The color is a dark chocolate hue (not dull at all), with nice translucency when strongly illuminated. The luster is superb, especially for a uvite of this size. The striated sides, and the sharp, triangular termination all come together to produce a truly aesthetic tourmaline specimen from a rare locality, with a distinguished provenance.
