Cafarsite is often earthy or dull. This crystal, measuring 1 cm across, is the most lustrous, shiny example I have yet seen for sale. It looks more like a sphalerite, of complex habit, than a cafarsite! This is a choice miniature, with the main crystal and sidecars hosted on a well trimmed piece of granite matrix. In person, it is of a quality that just leaps out to the eye - again, so unlike most cafarsites that are techinically superb but lack flash and pizzazz.
