Miniature, 5.1 x 3.0 x 2.6 cm
Crosscut Creek, Yukon Territory, Canada
Ex. Al Ordway
Few lazulites grab me as much as this spectacular miniature - it is WAY BEYOND the norm in quality in terms of both luster and color. The fat, sharp crystals are relatively large, to 1.3 cm, and very 3-dimensional. Color is intense. The piece is complete on both sides, contacted only at the ends. The piece is just bright and showy, much more so than you can expect from the photos. It is, in all ways, a superior miniature among best in its size class. Al self-collected this specimen and I bought it from him directly, several years before he passed away.
