Sapphire (Bi-Color)
Gems and Jewelry, 5.1 x 3.5 mm; 0.60 carats
Sri Lanka

Bicolor Sapphires are not common on the market, and this attractive little gem is a good representative stone from Sri Lanka. For the most part the gem is yellow in color, but hosts a few small blue patches creating a true bicolor stone. Sapphires are well known for occurring in virtually every color of the rainbow, but the bicolor gems are hard to find. This VVS clarity stone has a Step Pear cut, and would make a nice addition to any Sapphire suite.
