Terrific Azurites always come to mind when mentioning-Tsumeb' but this piece is shocking, ridiculous in color contrastr - it stands out from all other such azuyurite thumbers I have seen and is competition level, thus. These deep blue, sharp, rectangular prisms with classic lustrous, striated faces are set off beautifully against contrasting halloween-green Bayldonite (microcrystals). The Azurite crystals average 1-1.5 cm. This makes for a uniquely attractive toenail (large thumbnail or small miniature) specimen that is well-balanced, aesthetic, and very hard to come by. The association is rare. Ex. Sam Nasser collection.
