To go with the fine Elmwood fluorite in this update, here is the other mineral these mines are famous for. This is a "jewel" calcite, extraordinarily gemmy and glassy-lustrous (better in person!), with just a tiny attachment of sphalerite on the bottom. Frankly, this is an $1, 800 specimen but for a clean cleave at one of the terminations that points backwards and is NOT at all visible from the front anyways (and, the vast majority of these have cleaves, so they are easily forgiven). So if you can live with this very small cleave on the back of the left termination, here is a lot of eye-candy for the price!
