A very rare and old-time specimen from Russia and the Mullane Collection. Wiikite is a name applied to ill-defined mixtures and alteration products of minerals high in Nb, Ta, Ti, Si, and Y from pegmatites in the Impilakhti, Russia, associated with allanite and monazite. This area formerly belonging to Finland was ceded (taken by) to the Soviet Union in 1944. Named after Finnish geologist, F.J. Wiik (1839-1909). Ex. Mullane Collection.
